President's Message

It’s that time of year again. The time when/ everyone scrambles to put together a Silver Link entry and crosses his or her fingers for success heading into the evening of the event.

Have you starting thinking about or planning for your entry? If so, good for you! This month’s after-hours event at the Tulsa Press Club will be a great resource for you as you can ask those who have had success in the past for their tips and secrets. If not, you’re not alone! This is where you can start thinking about it and get started earlier than you’d planned.

The Silver Link Awards are one of the Tulsa Chapter’s most anticipated events of the year. It’s where we get a chance to honor the year’s best projects, organizations and professionals.  Don’t forget that the early bird deadline is April 19 and the final (yes, really final) deadline is April 26. Click here. for the call for entry information! Keep in mind that proceeds from this event benefit the Chuck Schnake Memorial Scholarship.

Also, don’t forget about the PRSA Southwest District Conference, which will be held in Austin this year. As home to a number of interesting companies and campaigns, you’ll get the opportunity to learn how to “keep PR weird.” Get it on your calendar for June 5-7 and be sure to register this month! Visit www.prsasw.org for more information

I look forward to see you all for a fun time of learning and catching up at the Tulsa Press Club on April 11!

Best,

Lucinda Rojas Ross, APR
